Advertise Me Google Buzz

Google has recently released Google Buzz in Australia and we decided to jump on board and test this social networking tool. Basically, Google Buzz is very similar to Twitter but one of the main advantages of using Google Buzz is that it is already integrated with Google Gmail – what this means is that if you’ve got a Gmail account then you will be able to use Google Buzz. This was a clever move from Google because there’s already over millions of Gmail users.

Having quickly played around with Google Buzz, the tool seems pretty easy to use and has quite a number of features. One of the features I like so far is that it automatically picked up some of our other website and automatically added posts from these sites – this included uploaded videos from Youtube. Like all typical Google products, the design of this application is not the most appealing (as long as it works) and I couldn’t find an option to change the background image or template but I’m sure Google has plans to change this.

One of the downsides that I saw was that your profile can now be searched via the Google profile search option so make sure you check your security settings even if you’re not using Google Buzz – you’ll be surprised as to what your Google settings are. And yes, I think you’ll see some ads around your posts.
