Yesterday we discovered that our online mailer form (enquiry form) was not working and hasn’t been working since January 2010. It was just by accident that we were talking about how we haven’t received an online enquiry for a while and I decided to test the form to make sure it was working… and it wasn’t (my heart sank) and wondered what happened and how many opportunities and enquiries we missed because of this issue.

Apparently back in January when our hosting domain was migrated across to a new server (see post http://www.advertiseme.com.au/blog/index.php/2010/01/10/downtime-on-our-email-hosting/) some of the settings were not migrated across and this has caused the issue.

Upon fixing this issue we immediately received a backlog of enquiries and let me assure you that we will attend to these immediately. We just hope that it’s not too late to contact these people. What we’ve learnt from this little unfortunate experience is to make sure we test everything and I mean EVERYTHING when websites are migrated across to a new server or platform – this includes the MAILER FORM.

So once again on behalf of advertise me, we would like to apologise to those who have sent us an online enquiry and never responded.
