Dedication and commitment – working weekends

At advertise me, it is our “culture” to work weekends. The team is dedicated and committed to making sure our clients needs are satisfied and this is one of the main reasons why we work weekends. Besides the fact that it’s relatively quiet and we don’t get that many disruptions which basically means we can get more done, the weekends are great for catching up with those last minute tasks that you didn’t get a chance to work on during the week.
Once I finish with this blog post, I will start working on a digital signage proposal for a mobile vehicle. This is a very interesting project and I look forward to hopefully work on this project.
The history behind the Advertise Me Logo

There’s a bit of history behind the advertise me logo and we thought we’d share this with you. Designing a company logo is a very tedious and time consuming task, especially when you don’t have any ideas of what you want. Our designer actually went through quite a number of design revision and here were a few of the initial designs:

Advertise Me twitter down – Twitter over subscribed

We just noticed that our twitter status was not showing on some of our websites so we tested to see if our twitter page http://www.twitter.com/advertisemeAU was working, and surprisingly we noticed that the twitter service is over capacity. This is what we saw:
This is quite excepted with the huge number of users and traffic, so don’t be alarmed if you see the above image once in a while.
NOTE: Funnily enough, the service came back within a couple of seconds.

In my personal opinion, choosing the “right” business name is crucial for any startup company. When our team first started planning for the name of our company, we spent quite a number of days brainstorming for the perfect name and we eventually came up with advertise me.
Updating your Social Networking status updates

For those of you who are using a twitter or facebook account, do you have to manually and update your status information? Do you find it tedious and time consuming to think of something to update?
What we’ve done in advertise me is to automatically link new articles and posts from our blog and forum to our twitter account using twitterfeed.com Basically, if you have a blog with an RSS or Atom feed, you will be able to feed this information to your twitter account. Otherwise you can use an application called TwitterDeck which allows you to simultaneously update your Twitter, Facebook and Myspace statuses.
Obviously, the objective is to advertise and market your business and at the same time drive more traffic to your websites.
Official Advertise Me blog

advertise me has been in business for over 4 years now and we just realised we didn’t have an official Advertise Me blog. So after several years, here it is.
To be fair, we actually do have another blog for the digital signage industry (digitalsignageblog.com) but advertise me does just more than digital signage. We actually provide other services such as website development, IT consulting, website design and … Well, if you follow our blog you’ll learn exactly what we do.
